CRP–05-D - Flow and energy computer for water

Application

The flow and energy computer for water CRP – 05 – D is dedicated for measurement systems installed in heat distribution networks and in technological installations where the water is the medium.

CRP-05-D
CRP - 05 - D

This device enables precise control of every thermodynamical parameters of heat distribution network. It is designed for calculate:

  • water’s mass flow based on pressure difference on gorget or measures of volume flow
  • water’s parameters based on its inlet and outlet temperature and pressure
  • absorbed heat as difference between inlet and outlet heat
  • hourly and monthly calculated balances of flowing mass of water and absorbed heat
  • daily average of water’s mass flow and heat power
  • maximal average of heat power during a day
  • excess balances of ordered power

CRP – 05 – D can work like autonomous measurement system or can be included in greater monitoring system with data multi-access.

Measurements’ and calculations’ precision

CRP - 05 - D realizes analog measurements using 24-bits A/C converter of the sigma-delta type. Software provides calibration of current and resistant measurement inputs according to the temperature. This enables proper performance of the unit in a wide range of temperatures. Software adjusts A/C converters during operation and eliminates an offset.

Data access

An internal data base is created in CRP – 05 flash memory, where every calculated values (balances, average and current values and summators) with its time markers are stored. An access to this base as well as to current computer reading is possible from device’s desktop or on-line, using digital interface.

User can access the following information:

  • inlet temperature(t1)
  • outlet temperature(t2)
  • inlet pressure (P1) (*)
  • outlet pressure (P2) (*)
  • inlet or outlet volume flow (V1) or pressures difference(DP1)
  • inlet or outlet volume flow (V2) or pressures difference(DP2) (**)
  • inlet or outlet mass flow (qm)
  • inlet or outlet mass flow (q2) (**)
  • emitted heat power (F) based on mass flow qm
  • emitted heat power (F2) based on mass flow q2 (**)
  • inlet (v1) and outlet (v2) water’s specific volume
  • inlet (h1) and outlet (h2) water’s enthalpy
  • inlet (eta1) and outlet (eta2) stickiness
  • Reynolds’s number
  • ‘k’ coefficient
  • mass summators
  • energy summators

(*) - for bi-directional measurements with pressure difference converters or volume flowmeters, other then impulse ones, pressure is treaded as parameter

-for measurements with one pressure difference converter or volume flowmeter, pressure is constant (16 bars)

(**) – only in case of measurements with two pressure difference converters

Communication

Computer for heatmeter CRP - 05 - D is equipped with serial interface RS 232 or RS 485 (MODBUS RTU) which enables transmission of data to supervision system.

It is also possible to connect CRP – 05 to M-Bus (widely used in heat distribution networks) using RS 485/M-Bus converter. Communication is realized according to IEC 870 norm, and data access according to EN1434-3 norm.

There are number of methods of connecting CRP – 05 to the supervision system. HYDRO-ECO-INVEST offers some products which are useful to design of the heat energy monitoring systems, for example:
